The main sports hall is heated utilising radiant heating controlled via the building management system utilising black bulb temperature sensors via the building management system.

The building was split into many different zones for heating, ventilation and air conditioning.

Each zone is controlled independently by the building management system.

Each cmotor control centre was provided with an active touchscreen for plant interrogation, set-point and timeschedule alteration.

The facility was provided for separate independent timeschedules for each zone of the building.

A networked Satchwell Satchnet building management system was supplied and installed on this project comprising three separate floor standing motor control centres.

The building management system controls both heating and ventilation plant serving both the front and back of house areas including the following :-

Main swimming pool Learner pool Café/Restaurant Offices Sports Hall Nursery

Temperature control of the heating serving the main and learner swimming pools are controlled via the building management system via plate heat exchangers.

A facility is provided on the building management system for temperature adjustment within preset limits and includes a backwash facility to ease the maintenance tasks.
