
This latest restoration and redevelopment project has enabled the De La Warr Pavilion to fulfil its original ambitions whilst creating new aspirations for the building and its visitors.
The Pavilion now has one of the largest contemporary art galleries in the South East of England. The building management system controls not only the main heating and ventilation but more importantly the relative humidity of the gallery itself..
The pavilion now also includes the following facilities :-
A fine auditorium with seating for up to 1,000 people
A large new studio space, roof and ground floor terraces, including an award-winning bandstand
A first-class café, bar and restaurant with outdoor sun terraces
A shop specialising in books and merchandise on arts and culture
Indoor and outdoor spaces to sit, relax and enjoy panoramic sea views.


Control system installed : A Satchwell Micronet building management system was supplied and installed complete with a VisiView front end supervisor package including dynamic plant graphics as part of an £8m refurbishment and restoration project
This impressive building was commissioned by the 9th Earl De La Warr in 1935 and designed by architects Eric Mendelsohn and Serge Chermayeff, the De La Warr Pavilion was the UK‘s first public building built in the Modernist style.
